The Secret
Affiliate Code by Craig Beckta was recently launched and promoted
by numerous affiliates, promising domination of Google and high affiliate
payments, but was this just a sales pitch?
New products promising
the latest secrets or the one sure way to make a fortune in affiliate
marketing appear on an almost weekly basis. So is this just another
over-hyped ebook or does it deliver useful information?
The Secret Affiliate Code
consists of a 151 page manual which takes you through the whole process
needed to promote someone else's product as an affiliate. This can
be done for no cost or using paid methods. So if you are just starting
out, you'll learn how to set up your promotions of free sites, such
as Squidoo and HubPages and how to use Web 2.0 techniques to drive
traffic to your main pages and get backlinks to give you high rankings
in Google.
The Secret method Craig
used to make money consists of finding out about products before they
are launched and getting his promotions set up early. And he tells
you exactly how to do this.
This was the point that
made me hold back from purchasing the Secret Affiliate Code, because
surely once everyone (and there were clearly a lot of people buying
this book!) knew the secret, it would be no longer effective? You'll
certainly be up against a lot of competition if you try to use this
technique in the Internet Marketing niche, but:
* It can be used for promoting
existing products
* You can use it for product
launches in other niches
The main book also shows
you how to use Clickbank to find products to promote, as well as how
to find out exactly how well they are doing. The Clickbank Marketplace
can be a little tricky to negotiate and Craig gives you some good
additional resources to help you do this.
In addition, you get 11
videos to show you to get everything set up. If you are a beginner,
you'll find this invaluable. The final video Google Dominator shows
you how to use Web 2.0 to link back to your site. This technique is
also explained in the pdf "Cracked Code Quick Start Guide"
which you can print out and use as you set up each of your campaigns.
The package includes a
series of 4 interviews with experts, including transcripts, plus a
couple of bonus items.
There is an upsell - if
you're new to internet marketing, you'll find that once you buy a
product, you are presented with a one time offer, or upsell. You are
offered a premium version of whatever you have just bought or a different
but related product at a specially reduced price. This usually annoys
me, as I feel I've been tricked into buying half the story and need
to fork out (at an often higher price than the original) more money
if I want all the information. In this case, however, the upsell is
inexpensive and the product is much more than you expect.
Price $67 - but
you can get it for $47 if you catch the $20 discount! You
do this by reading the page and then closing it - click on the x at
the top right of your browser and the discount will pop up.
Verdict
There is a lot of information
here. it will take you a while to get through everything, and it will
take considerable time and effort to be successful. But this is suitable
for beginners, taking you step by step through everything to enable
you to get set up without spending any money.
